Break of Dawn in Laguna Hills is one of my favorite breakfast places and it has received great reviews. The decor is bright and cheery and their menu provides a little exotic flair to the basic eggs and pancakes. They have everything from pecan waffles to Portuguese sausage and rice. Even their kids menu manages to serve up a little spunk by adding Nutella and peanut butter to a stack of fluffy pancakes. I always make sure to save a little room for their hot chocolate, it is a divine mixture of cinnamon and chocolate. One thing that might make make the Break of Dawn a special breakfast spot is the fact that the Owner/Chef, Dee Nguyen used to be an executive sous chef at the Ritz-Carlton in Laguna Niguel.
