When C & I started Just Spotted, we had one brilliant, driving force of an idea – build an Orange County community. But not just any community, one that takes family kid oriented approach to living, visiting & dreaming about Orange County. Written by two real moms, living real lives, in the real OC, Just Spotted is the place where we highlight our daily adventures, not to mention, offer a wealth of knowledge for Orange County residents & visitors alike. But we didn’t stop there. In addition to an ENTIRE site filled with things to do, where to go & places to eat and shop in Orange County, we’ve been busy building an Orange County blog community… our OC Blog Roll (aka the OC Blogregate) lists almost every OC blog (& the all the latest posts), in one easy-to-read, easy-to-use, handy dandy place. (Speaking of which, if your blog isn’t listed, all I can ask is “WHY NOT?” Submitting you site is easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy. Just go HERE, answer a few simple questions & you’re IN!)

But wait, there’s more. We’re adding one more notch in our belt, so to say. Today we are excited to announce the launch of the SoCal Connection Community, provided by the amazing powerhouse duo, Screamin Daily Deals (the online community of Power Savers) & BlogFrog (powering the largest network of mom blogs & niche communities).

Imagine a single place online, where people from all over Southern California, can come together in an online community, to discuss, explore, inform, educate & support one another, all while building relationships with other local Southern Californ-ians. Ahhhhh, the possibilities… get local restaurant suggestions that are perfect for dining with kids, heck! get local restaurant suggestions that are perfect for dining without kids too! That’s the great thing about the SoCal Connection Community, although there are some incredible local bloggers acting as “community leaders,” starting discussions & getting the ball rolling (Heather of The Spohrs Are Multiplying, Sugar of Sugar in the Raw, Julie of Angry Julie Monday, Jim of Busy Dad, Maegan of LoveMaegan, Megan of Screamin Daily Deals, & little ‘ole me), for the most part, the community is for you, about you & powered by you!

If you haven’t already, head on over to the SoCal Connection Community… make yourself comfortable & take a look around. Once you’ve checked it out, I know you are going to like what you see (& read), so be sure to join our sure-to-be-fabulous-community. Don’t forget the most important part though – interact! That is the name of the game, after all! It’s not much of community if there isn’t any discussion. So, jump on in… participate in an on-going discussion, or if you’re feeling brave (or just have a question you’ve been dying to ask someone), start a new discussion.

So, there you have it… just one more way that Just Spotted is (& will continue) doing to build a local, virtual community. All I have left to say is, what are you still doing here? By now you should have already headed over to the SoCal Connection Community. I’ll see you over there, it’s time to get this party started!

xoxo, K

p.s. As if connecting virtually with tons of other local parents wasn’t enough of an incentive, Screamin Daily Deals has generously offered to give an iPad to one lucky winner!  At the end of the month, one random winner’s name will be drawn from the top ten community participants and award them the iPad. Now, I’m pretty sure I can’t win. But how fab would it be if the winner was also a Just Spotted reader?!

Just thought you should know, I am being compensated as a “community leader.” However, I would have happily agreed to be a “community leader” whether or not they had offered any compensation. (Shhhh! Don’t tell anyone I said that.) All in all, I really & truly believe in this community. It’s a resource I’m excited to have available & thrilled to be apart of. At the end of the day, the opinions represented here are 100% those of Just Spotted, & were not influenced in any way… it is my personal belief that  the SoCal Connection Community is going to become a must-read for today’s Southern California families.
