The holidays are just around the corner. I don’t know about you, but this is the time of year I usually go into holiday card panic mode. Mine isn’t anywhere close to being done, we haven’t even had a holiday picture taken yet! Luckily, we’ve asked our favorite Orange County photographers to share with us their favorite go-to backdrops, which includes some of the most amazing “photo” walls in & around Orange County. Wow! What an incredible list full of walls – textures, bright & bold colors and everything in-between. Trust us, this list is full of hidden gems. Hopefully, one (or two) of these pictures will provide you with a little inspiration, & be a great staring point for your own holiday photo…

A shot of the red house with the white door in Irvine Regional Park. It’s on the other side of the bathrooms, but they made it look like an old house from the 20′s.

Jennifer says: Everyone LOVES to have a family portrait at the beach and this seems to never go out of style.  Living in the South OC, I must get about 25 holiday cards every year of the same pose at the same beach and it is SO done! If you want beach pictures, that is great, but this year mix it up! Find a beach with other things to look at then just the ocean.  One of my favorites for this Is the San Clemente Pier and Beach.  Not only is it a great shot with the pier in the background, or on top of the lifeguard tower, but underneath the pier has some of the prettiest textures and colors I have ever seen.  Also, all around the pier are structures with beautiful wood sidings that are perfect for a rich background for any portrait. So many spots at this one location to have  a truly unique California Holiday picture!

A really cool, textured wall off to the side in Cedar Grove Park. I think it’s actually a retaining wall, but in the right light it has so much dimension. I don’t think most people even notice it.

Wow! Pretty incredible list, eh?! Who knew there were so many amazing back drops, right here in our own backyard. Now, the only question is where are you going to take this year’s family picture?

Of, course this list wouldn’t be possible without the help of some fabulously-talented Photographers. So I’d like to send a big fat thank you to: Anamaria Brandt Photography, Bosh Images, Gillian Crane Photography, Jenner Rose Photography, Jennifer Imus Photography, Jylare Ann Photography, Kristin Eldridge Photography, Mali Workman Photography, & Michelle Photography. Thanks for spilling the beans, & sharing with us some of your favorite Orange County photography backdrops.

xoxo, K
