sea life aquariumLooking to escape Orange County this weekend? Check out the Sea Life Carlsbad Aquarium’s Underwater Parks Day happening this Saturday, January 15th. Tons of super-kid friendly activities will be happening, designed to help explain the need for Marine Protected Areas that replenish fish populations and restore the health of coastal waters. You & the kids can participate in a habitat build, a Happy Habitat Mural (create a sea creature to add the ocean mural in the Discovery Zone) and a Conservation Expo with tons of hands-on exhibits, information boothas & other activities. Watch the Daily Dive show at 11am in the Sea Life’s Shipwreck Gallery – using an underwater communication mask (how cool is that?) a diver will give a child-friendly presentation about these special areas from inside the Lost City of Atlantis, the Aquarium’s 200,000 gallon ocean display.
