Please help me welcome, Michele of Fun Orange County Parks. Every month, Michele shares one of her favorite Orange County Parks with us, & today we are lucky to have her explain the Let’s G.O. program…
In addition to highlighting local parks and playgrounds, I’m also a volunteer Nature Rocks Ambassador which means I get to spread the word about the value of connecting kids with nature. April is Let’s G.O.! Month. Let’s G.O. (Get Outdoors)! is a great program, by the Children & Nature Network who partners with Nature Rocks, and supports their mission to get kids outside and loving nature. It is a youth-inspired, youth-led initiative to rally people of all ages to Play, Serve, and Celebrate. The goal is to bring together intergenerational groups of people to get outside together to be active, have fun and connect with nature. You can find more additional information on C&NN’s homepage; it links you to the downloadable toolkit for participation and finding events. Follow Nature Rocks on Facebook and check back each spring, summer, fall and winter to download their seasonal activity guides.
Thanks Michele! If you are looking for a local park or playground to explore, we have lots of suggestions.
