One of the most fabulous things about living in Orange County are all the fabulous resources available – like the Childhood Language Center of Orange County.

childhood language center of orange countyIf you don’t already know, the Childhood Language Center of Orange County is a private, non-profit speech and language agency in Santa Ana that serves children in need of speech language &. or hearing services at absolutely NO cost to participating families. Not only are their services totally & completely FREE, but since the Childhood Language Center of Orange County doesn’t receive any funding from state or federal agencies, the children (& the parents) they serve do not need to have a prior diagnosis or IEP in order to receive services.

If you have a child who is currently in need of speech, language &/ or hearing services (whether they are in preschoolhigh school) the Childhood Language Center of Orange County is currently accepting new clients & have open spaces for evaluations. Childhood Language Center of Orange County

The Childhood Language Center of Orange County (CLCOC) is a charitable non-profit speech and language therapy center, a program sponsored by the Scottish Rite of Santa Ana. They provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to children ages three through 21 who have speech, language and/or hearing needs, at no cost to families.

What is the CLCOC?
-an outreach program of the California Scottish Rite Foundation
-a fun place to learn through play and evidence based therapy with licensed Speech Language Pathologists and Speech Language Pathology Assistants
-a family-focused environment where children increase their communication skills and build self-confidence
What services are provided?
-Complete speech and language diagnostic evaluations from age 3
-Individual or small group speech and language therapy services
-Parent Education
-Consultations
-Collaboration
Who makes referrals?
-the CLCOC receives referrals from many sources, including parents, schools, agencies, health professionals, and other centers.
How do you enroll a child at CLCOC?
-Call the CLCOC at (714) 972-2646
-The Center Director will return your call. If needed, an evaluation will be scheduled within 6 weeks.
-You will be asked to complete and return some forms and to provice any relevant reports compiled by other professionals
-If appropriate, your child will be scheduled for therapy or placed on the wait list
-Therapy sessions are once per week, 45 minutes per session. The CLCOC is open year round, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 1:00-5:00.
