Have you checked out the Newport Dunes Aquatic Park yet? Located in the Back Bay of Newport Beach, the Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort is a well-known rv park, resort & marina. Plus, the Dunes is a popular Orange County destination for their summertime weekend movies on the beach. But… did you know about the aquatic park?
Open daily (from 10am – 7pm) starting Sunday, June 26th, 2011 through Monday, September 5th, 2011 the Newport Dune Aquatic Park is definitely on my list of fun things in Orange County. Situated along a one-mile stretch of sand, along the lifeguarded, waveless waters of the Back Bay lagoon called Mother’s Beach, the aquatic park is full of giant inflatable amenities… giant icebergs, water trampolines, rock climbing walls, massive teeter-totters & even a huge inflatable water slide.
All-day passes to the Newport Dunes Aquatic Park can be purchased for $25. Or, if you’re looking to save a few bucks, take advantage of their $15 half day passes, or pay $9/hour. In addition to the aquatic park, the Newport Dunes Resort also offers sailing lessons, ecological kayak tours, water aerobics, & paddleboats, surrey bike, electric boats, catamaran, paddleboards, & stand-up paddle board rentals.
