What are the Laguna Beach Art Festivals? Well, in a nutshell, Art-a-Fair, Festival of the Arts, Sawdust Festival, & Pageant of the Masters features over 500 artists, 300 hands-on art workshops, dozens of special events & so much.

Art-A-Fair

“Laguna Beach is famous for its artists’ community. But Art-A-Fair goes beyond to discover artists from around the world and in other parts of the country, as well as those who live right here in Laguna. Art-A-Fair jurists pride themselves on selecting art in all mediums for its summer Festival that will be rich in quality yet diverse in content so that every visitor to Art-A-Fair will connect with at least one artist’s work. But we’re pretty sure you’ll connect with many.”

* Art-A-Fair runs daily through, Sunday, August 28th, 2011.
* Sunday thru Thursday Art-a-Fair is open 10am – 9pm.
* Friday thru Saturday Art-a-Fair is open 10am – 10pm
* Adult tickets are $7, Seniors, Military & Students are $4, & children under 12 are FREE. (Entry is always FREE for Laguna Beach residents with valid ID.)

Sawdust Art Festival

“Since its inception, the nonprofit Sawdust Art Festival organization has celebrated and supported the work of local artists.

Designed to both entertain and educate, the Sawdust Art Festival draws more than 200,000 visitors from across the country each year. Visitors are invited to shop along sawdust-covered paths through a hand-crafted village of fine arts and superb craftsmanship. The Festival also features demo booths such as glass blowing, complimentary hands-on art workshops, a children’s art booth, refreshments from three restaurants and a saloon, live music and more.”

* Sawdust Art Festival runs daily through Sunday, August 28th, 2011, from 10am – 10pm.
* Adult tickets are $7.75, Seniors, Military & Students are $6.25, & children 6-12 are $3.25, and children under 5 are FREE. Although, Orange County residents can enter FREE on specific nights.

SUN – Free admission after 5 pm with ID for residents of Aliso Viejo, Laguna Hills, Laguna Woods, Laguna Niguel, Monarch Beach, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, San Juan Capistrano, Dana Point, San Clemente, Las Flores, Coto de Caza, Ladera Ranch, Dove Canyon, Rancho Santa Margarita.

MON – Free admission after 5 pm with ID for residents of Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Newport Coast, Corona del Mar, Balboa Island, Irvine, Santa Ana, Tustin, Orange, Villa Park, Silverado Canyon, Trabuco Canyon, Foothill Ranch, Portola Hills

TUES – Free admission after 5 pm with ID for residents of Huntingon Beach, Seal Beach, Westminster, Fountain Valley, Los Alamitos, Cypress, Stanton, La Palma, Garden Grove, Anaheim, Anaheim Hills, Buena Park, Fullerton, Placentia, Yorba Linda, Brea, La Habra

THURS – Laguna Beach residents receive FREE admission with ID Thursday evenings (after 5 pm) and first Fridays of each month (all day).

Festival of Arts

“The Festival of Arts is a beautiful outdoor gallery nestled in the canyon and only a few blocks from the ocean in Laguna Beach. This is the place to find that art treasure for your home or business for which you have been searching. The Festival’s prestigious juried art show includes a wide variety of media such as paintings, photography, printmaking, sculpture, jewelry, handcrafted wood and furniture, ceramics, glass and more – all by over 140 of ‘The O.C.’s’ finest artists! If you’re on the hunt for that perfect art piece, you’ll be sure to find it at The Festival of Arts.

In addition to the special events, come and enjoy art workshops, daily docent-led tours offering expert insights to the exhibits, musical entertainment and hands-on demonstrations in printmaking, ceramics, painting and paper art. Then, explore the outstanding accomplishments of talented local students at the Junior Art Exhibit, featuring 150 works selected from over 1,500 submissions.”

* The Festival of Arts is open daily through Wednesday, August 31st, 2011, from 10am – 11:30pm.
* Tickets cost $7 for general admission and $4 for seniors and students. Laguna Beach residents with ID receive free admission, as do children under the age of 12. Pageant ticket holders and Festival of Arts members receive free admission all summer long.

Pageant of the Masters is “Ninety minutes of “living pictures” – incredibly faithful art re-creations of classical and contemporary works with real people posing to look exactly like their counterparts in the original pieces.
