This season celebrate the Holidays at Disneyland, where it’s already beginning to look a lot like Christmas. November 14th, 2011 through January 8th, 2012 you can experience the holidays in a practically-perfect winter wonderland setting… & let me tell you, there is definitely a special magic in the air.
Holidays at Disneyland
Decorations galore, tasty holiday-inspired treats (the Holiday gingerbread beignets at the Cafe Orleans are to-die-for), “A Christmas Fantasy” parade with Mickey & Minnie actually skating on a moving pond, brightly lit & seasonally dressed lamp posts, Christmas trees (including the 60 foot spectacular on Main St. that puts on a “nightly holiday light show like no other”), literally thousands of sparkling lights, Santa & his reindeer – live & in person, “Believe… in Holiday Magic” firework show & the always-anticipated snowfall, holiday transformations of both “It’s a Small World“ & “Haunted Mansion Holiday,” “The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure,” special “World of Color” holiday guests (a pair of techno-savvy elves), & so much more…
I for one am love all the lights, sounds & of course, the snow. My kids are already excited about actually meeting Santa & getting to pet his reindeer, at the Reindeer Roundup – although, I might have to be prepared with a “back story” when they see him again at Disney California Adventure on Paradise Pier. And have I mentioned all the tasty treats? Handmade candy canes, Pumpkin & Chocolate Chestnut Yule Logs, spiced apple cider, shortbread snowman & zesty tamales… my, oh my! But most of all – I love seeing my kids faces light up as they take it all in. This is definitely the most wonderful time of the year at the “happiest place on Earth.”
