Free & Cheap Summer Movies in Orange County

All summer long free movies (& cheap movies), are gracing movie screens both inside and outside, providing hours & hours of summer fun. So grab the family, smuggle in some candy & enjoy some family films shown on the big screen.

Cheap Summer Movies

* AMC Theatres: special value pricing, before noon

* Cinemark Theatres: special Discount Price for the first matinee showtime of the day. All movies, 7 days a week.

* Cinemark Theatres Summer  Movie Clubhouse: 10 movies for $5 if purchased in advanace, or $1 per show if purchased at the box office.

KidToon Movies: G-rated Family Entertainment EVERY Saturday & Sunday at 10:30am at UltraStar Cinemas at the Anaheim GardenWalk. Admission only $2.50

* Krikorian Kids Series: Every Tuesday from June 19th through August 21st, Krikorian locations in Buena Park & San Clemente will be hosting the 2012 Summer Kids Series, a 10 week series of kid’s movies that are fun for the whole family. Two showings per day will be available at 10:00AM & 12:30PM. Tickets are $1.00 (Buena Park Metroplex 18 tickets are Free) and are the same price for adults and children.

* Summer Movie Express: During this 9-week festival, select Regal Cinemas, United Artists and Edwards Theatres will offer selected G or PG rated movies for only $1 on EVERY Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:00am (starting Tuesday June 19th – Wednesday, August 8th). * Everyday $1-ish Movie Theaters

Or, if you’re looking to spend a warm summer evening outdoors… then pack up the kids, lawn chairs & treats and check out these FREE movies in Orange County:

* Aliso Viejo: Fridays, July 6th, July 20th, August 3rd & August 17th at Grand Park. Movie will begin at dusk.

* Brea: Every Friday night, June 22nd – July 27th, at Arovista Park (located at Elm and Sievers Streets). Movie starts at at 8pm, or when it becomes dark. For specific movie titles go HERE.

* Costa Mesa: Mondays July 9th thru August 6th. The movie starts at dusk, 8pm at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts. For specific movie titles go HERE.

* Dana Point: Every Friday night, June 1st – June 29th, at Lantern Bay Park (25111 Park Lantern Road, Dana Point). Movie starts at approximately 8pm.  For specific movie titles go HERE.

* Fountain Valley: Tuesday, August 7th at Fountain Valley Recreation and Sports Park (16400 Brookhurst St.), and Fridays August  17th at Fountain Valley Los Alamos Park & August 24th at Fountain Valley Recreation and Sports Park (16400 Brookhurst St.). * Irvine: Saturdays June 2nd – June 30th at the OC Great Park.  Movies start at dusk. For specific movie titles go HERE.

* Lake Forest: Friday nights, June 15th at Cherry Park, July 13th at Rimgate Park, August 10th at Mountain View Park & August 24th at El Toro Park. Movies start at 7:30pm. For specific movie titles go HERE.

* Newport Dunes: Friday & Saturday Nights June 1st – September 2nd. Movies start at sunset, concessions available for purchase. Parking is $10/ car. For specific movie titles go HERE.

* Placentia: Every Friday night, July 13th – August 24th at Placentia Champions Sports Complex (505 N. Jefferson, Placentia, CA. 92870). Movies begin at dusk. For specific movie titles go HERE.

* Villa Park: Fridays, June 22, July 20, August 24 at Serrano Elementary School Playground, movies start at dusk.

* Tustin: Thursdays  July 26th at Peppertree Park, August 2nd at Frontier Park, August 9th at Cedar Grove Park, August 16th at Heritage Park,  August 23rd at Centennial Park. Movies start at dusk (generally 7:50 – 8pm). For specific movie titles go HERE.
